What to Expect
Whether you’re meeting Leon at Willson’s Woods or a flat stretch near Memorial Field, the session starts the same way: a quick conversation about what you want to work on. First time on a board? He’ll walk you through the basics—read the first lesson guidefor the full breakdown. Already comfortable pushing and turning? He’ll build on that.
Sessions run about an hour. Leon brings a board if you need one, but having your own to practice on between lessons makes a difference. Flat-soled sneakers are a must—thick running soles make it harder to feel the board. Wear clothes that don’t restrict your movement. Helmets are required for all students under 18.
